Rev. Chuck Meathrell To Be Our New Pastor

We are happy to announce Rev. Chuck Meathrell as the new pastor at Pataskala Seventh Day Baptist Church.  The church has been without a pastor for 7 months following the retirement of Pastor Robert Van Horn in October. Chuck and his wife and their family of 3 boys will be moving to Ohio from South Carolina in mid May.

Rev. Meathrell received his MDiv from Columbia International University in Columbia, SC and was ordained by his previous church, Jacob’s Well Church also in Columbia, SC.  Since the COVID-19 pandemic, he has been leading the church through virtual worship services from their home (check Sermons & Worship on this website or Youtube). We will begin regular services in person at the church located at 12161 Broad Street SW in Pataskala, OH when we can safely meet together.

Church Goal to Retire the Mortgage

Fifteen years ago our church bought the property at 12161 Broad Street SW on the western edge of Pataskala, Ohio.  After 15 years our church has decided it’s time to pay off our mortgage loan with the Seventh Day Baptist Memorial Fund.

We have been in the current church building since the fall of 2004. While the church had met in previous years at rented facilities, we had never had our own building before!

SDB General Conference in Lancaster, PA

The annual Seventh Day Baptist General Conference meetings are being held at Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, PA July 28-Aug 3.  The theme for the week’s conference is “People Get Ready” presided over by Conference President Jane Mackintosh.  Listed below are some ways you can be involved, even if you are not able to attend in person.
