“Jesus Loves You SNOW Much!” was the theme for the Kids Bible Club held the evening of February 2, 2019. The Bible lesson for the evening was about how God created the world and everything in it — including snowflakes! We learned that like snowflakes, God created us each different and beautiful.
The Kids Bible Club is held from 6:30-8:00 pm monthly on the first Saturday night of the month. Unfortunately our SNOW theme was cancelled last month due to winter weather! So we enjoyed the snow based crafts and games just as much this month.
After the introduction all together with a “Miss Snowflake Pageant” skit and singing the action song “God’s Love is Big” the group separated into older and younger classes for the Bible lesson and crafts. The younger group made pictures using snowflake stamps and paint while the older class painted snowflake suncatchers.
Next everyone joined together again for a trio of
“snowball” (cotton balls!) games: a relay carrying snowballs on spoons, seeing who could blow the snowball the closest to the edge of the table without going off, and an indoor snowball fight!
After a break for snacks, we joined back in the church sanctuary for our closing! It was a great evening and everyone had a lot of fun! (A big thank you to all the adults who helped out!)
All kids ages 3-12 are invited to our next Kids Bible Club event on Saturday March 2, 2019 at 6:30-8:00 pm with the theme “Be a KINDNESS Super Hero”.

Retreat activities will begin Sept 28 at 7 PM and continue through Sept 30 at 10 AM. Enjoy worship, rest and fun and the wilds of West Virginia. Cost is $10. There was canoeing & crafts….there were chores and Bible Science and morning flag raising…..there was swimming and July 4th fireworks…..there were quiet evening vespers in the hills of West Virginia…..morning Revele and evening Taps…..and so much more!
The theme was “Choose Joy” with Bible lessons each day about ways we can do that. The campers were divided into four work groups with a different “chore” to do each day: wash dishes, clean the lodge, plan evening vespers, and plan campfire activities.
We had daily cabin inspections which motivated the campers to keep their bunk areas cleaned up as well. We awarded the “Clean Cabin Award” to a different cabin each day. Although we also had the “Stinky Sock Award”, there were surprisingly not any cabins that deserved that award throughout the week!
