A Taste of Sabbath

Saturday, February 21, 2026

Saturday mornings at Pataskala, following Sabbath school classes, we enter into the sanctuary to pray, praise and meditate on the word of God. With several members traveling, Sister Becky led us in praise and prayer.

Highlights: Becky reminded us how In Old Testament times, sacrifices were completely burned up, and disappeared in smoke. Jesus, our great High Priest is completely sufficient to carry all our worries, concerns, anxieties, hopes and dreams. We need to lay everything on His altar.

Message Highlights

Pastor Chuck was out of town for a book signing (congratulations!). But he took time to pre-record a message via video, from the book of Joshua, chapters 6 and 7.

After the mighty walls of Jericho crashed down, why did the children of Israel experience such a shocking defeat at the small town of Ai?

It had everything to do with asking God for help, and obeying God’s commands. A man named Achan disobeyed God. He took something from the city that had been set aside to God for complete destruction. In doing so, he brought that curse of destruction upon himself, his family and the whole community.

What are we inviting or allowing into our lives that is destructive?
What do we need to release to God?

You and I are not always right, and that is something we will always struggle with this side of glory. Like the disobedient Israelites, we can be distracted by something that is outside of God’s will for us. Jesus knows this about us — loves us anyway and invites us to release everything to Him. He is our hope!

With prayers for peace from Pataskala Seventh Day Baptist Church, come see us soon!

Join us in person every Saturday for Sabbath School, and Worship, or if you’re far away, join us for Worship online via Facebook.

A Taste of Sabbath

Saturday, January 10, 2026, we gathered to worship. Pastor Chuck and his wife Jessica led us through a song service of praise to God. Lisa led us in prayer and in the message we were reminded that true love means giving your all. Sometimes that hurts.
Jesus gave his all for us.

It is good to be in the house of the Lord! Come visit any Saturday!
