“Lava Lava Luau” was the theme for the week of Vacation Bible School using materials from Children’s Ministry . Sessions were held nightly from 6-8pm each evening Monday thru Friday, June 27-July 1, 2022. We had a great time following a Hawaiian theme with Skits, Crafts, Bible Stories, Decorations, Games and of course Refreshments!
During the week, the theme was managing our emotions — keeping cool when things get hot! Emotions are like a force of nature, but with God’s help, we can learn to take control of our emotions before a storm hits! During the week, we talked about what God’s Word says about anger, sadness, jealousy, and frustration and learned how we can respond to others who may be feeling these emotions as well.
The key memory verse for the week is from 2 Timothy 1:7: “God gave us his Spirit. And the Spirit doesn’t make us weak and fearful. Instead, the Spirit gives us power and love. He helps us control ourselves.”
