Imagine a sunny (but cool) March afternoon. . . 17 lively and egg-cited kids plus an open field COVERED with loaded plastic eggs . . . and you’ve got an Eggstravaganza! Our third annual Eggstravaganza egg hunt took place on Saturday, March 24th, at 3:00 pm in the big open field behind the Seventh Day Baptist Church at 12161 Broad Street SW as you are heading into Pataskala, OH.
The weather was a little chilly, but dry as the children (and eggs) were divided for three different age groups. This egg hunt allows even the youngest of children to have a fun time without all the older kids getting to the eggs before them! The eggs were filled with candy, toys, stickers, and temporary tattoos and then taped shut to keep them safe from moisture and accidentally opening. Removing the tape to open the plastic eggs and finding out what is inside was almost as much fun as collecting them — and a little warmer since it was done inside the church!
